Real Property Tax Rates

The Town of Ridgely’s real property tax rate for FY25 $0.4656 per $100 of assessed value. The County collects the town’s real property taxes on our behalf. Payments are due by October 1st of each year to avoid interest and penalties. Caroline County Tax Office  Caroline County Assessments Office

Personal Property Tax Rates

The Town of Ridgely’s business personal property tax rate is $1.275 per $100 of assessed value. The Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation sends billing information to the Town, and then we issue invoices to the businesses. Payments are due within 60 days of the date of invoice. Trash Fees

Rental Property Registration Fees

All rental properties in the Town of Ridgely must be registered. Please bring a completed rental registration form and the $200 fee to the Town Office during regular business hours. Park Reservation Fees

Martin Sutton Park may be reserved for special events. There is a $50 rental fee and $100 security deposit. The rental fee is non-refundable. The rental fee is waived for eligible non-profits. Please review the park reservation form for additional information. Park Reservation Form

Special Event Fees

Large events require a special event permit. There are various fees charged based on the type and size of event. Please review the special event form for more details and contact the Town Office at 410-634-2177 with any questions. Special Event Form

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Fees

FOIA requests that take more than two hours to prepare will be billed at an hourly rate. Copy fees are $0.25 per page for black & white; $1.00 per page for color. Please review the FOIA request form for additional information. FOIA Request Form
