Brush pick up in town has unfortunately come to an unexpected halt. As soon as we can get our chipper back up and running, we will resume operations. For the foreseeable future, there will be NO BRUSH PICK UP

PUBLIC NOTICE OF CLOSED SESSION MEETING

 

The Commissioners of Ridgely will meet on Friday April 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Ridgely Town Hall, 2 Central Avenue, Ridgely, Maryland 21660 to vote to go into a closed session meeting.

The purpose of the closed session is for the Commissioners to:

1) Discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of an appointee, employee, or official over whom this public body has jurisdiction; or any other personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals pursuant to Md. Code Ann., Gen. Prov. § 3-305(b)(1)

The public is invited to attend via conference call the open session portion of the Commissioners’ meeting and to observe the Commissioners’ vote to close the same and to convene in closed session.

The public will be allowed to listen to the meeting, but will be muted to eliminate background noise.  Under the Maryland Open Meetings Law, the public does not have the right to speak, but only to observe the meetings.

The Commissioners will take roll call and announce which staff are participating directly in the meeting.  All speakers, including Commissioners, must announce their last name before they speak.

We understand during this time of COVID-19, more and more people are choosing home delivery services over standard in-person shopping. This undoubtedly has produced much more cardboard in the community. We would like to remind residents that cardboard is recyclable and should not be put out with your regular weekly household trash.
